Capricorn Full Moon (2) 2024

trust your truth

capricorn Full moon

July 21st, 2024

3:17 am (pt)

Hi friends,

You may be like, wait didn’t we just have a full Moon in Capricorn back in June? And my answer to you is yes, yes we did (and good on you for paying attention!)

This Capricorn full Moon is the second in a row with the alignment between the Cancer Sun and Capricorn full Moon. This is a rare occurrence and provides us with another opportunity to balance our personal and professional selves, while also offering a sense of completion, and closure.

Think back, or look back in your journal, to what you were feeling and letting go of with the last Capricorn full Moon back on June 21st. Then focus in on the intentions you set with the more recent Cancer new Moon on July 5th. This second Capricorn full Moon helps us integrate and balance our nurturing energies with our ambitious/productive ones in transformational ways.

The first Capricorn full Moon encouraged us to un-limit what we believe is possible, to dream bigger and focus on believing in our dreams.

The Cancer new Moon reminded us to nurture unconditional love for ourselves, as a foundation for nurturing relationships.

Now this Capricorn full Moon guides us into deeper self-embodiment through trusting what is now our truth, by illuminating and helping us surrender what feels untrue, false or illusionary.

There is truth in our desire to achieve and produce (Capricorn), as much as there is truth in our desire to nurture and relax (Cancer). There is truth in our urge to grow and change, as much as there is truth in our need for self-acceptance and self-love just as we are.

There is also truth in knowing that as we grow, change and love ourselves more unconditionally, our personal truths may also change.

This second Capricorn full Moon helps us let go of old truths that now feel false, while encouraging us to trust our current truth, even as it’s changing, as we allow ourselves to more fully embrace our own complexities.

Embracing capricorn / cancer polarity

Not only is this the second Capricorn full Moon in a row, it’s also occurring in the 29th degree, or the final degree, of Capricorn which implies a spiritually significant moment of completion within Capricorn energy.

On a personal level this completion energy helps us let go of old patterns keeping us split between our career and personal goals, and between our constant need to achieve with our authentic need for emotional support.

On an a more collective level we are continuing to see many societal systems and structures being torn down, especially those created under the shadow energies of Capricorn (ahem, looking at you patriarchy).

As the Cardinal Earth sign, Capricorn energy is grounded, dedicated, structured, disciplined, focused, strategic, and oh so capable. On the shadow side, Capricorn energy can bypass feelings all together, in favor of productivity and success. Or become quite pessimistic (and controlling) in the pursuit of goals when things are not going as desired.

Balancing Capricorn and Cancer Energies

Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, is synonymous with discipline, hard work, and perseverance. It's the energy that drives us to set goals, create plans, and build structures that support our long-term success. However, an overemphasis on Capricorn can lead to burnout, rigidity, and a disconnection from our emotional needs.

Cancer, ruled by the Moon, brings forth the qualities of nurturing, empathy, and intuition. It's the energy that encourages us to connect with our inner selves, cultivate emotional security, and create a sense of home and belonging. However, an overemphasis on Cancer can result in clinginess, overprotectiveness, and an inability to step out of our comfort zones.

The second Capricorn Full Moon offers a unique opportunity to harmonize these energies. It's a call to balance our ambition with our need for self-care. This means setting boundaries that protect our well-being while still striving for our goals. It involves being as dedicated to our self-care routines as we are to our professional endeavors. By doing so, we create a sustainable path to success that honors both our external achievements and internal fulfillment.

The powerfully completing energy of this particular Capricorn full Moon encourages us to balance our ambition and our structures with the emotional, nurturing essence of Cancer.

This duality invites us to trust our innermost, most authentic truth, a truth that we can only really connect with when we harmonize or ambitions with our need for care, finding balance between doing and being.

Trusting Our Truth

The Capricorn Full Moon also illuminates our goals, responsibilities, and the progress we've made towards our aspirations. It urges us to take an honest look at our achievements and the paths we've chosen.

Under this lunar light, we are called to trust our truth.

This means acknowledging our authentic desires and being honest about what truly fulfills us. And in the illuminating light of the full Moon, it also means acknowledging and being honest about what is no longer fulfilling us, or feeling resonate in our lives.

Are we pursuing goals that align with our core values, or are we climbing ladders that lead us toward someone else’s dreams? Trusting our truth involves releasing societal expectations and embracing our unique journey.

In the realm of Capricorn, truth often manifests through tangible achievements and concrete progress. However, Cancer’s opposing energy reminds us that our truth is (of course) also found in our emotional world. Cancer encourages us to honor our feelings, intuition, and the importance of nurturing self-care. By integrating these energies, we can create a balanced approach to our ambitions—one that respects both our drive for success and our need for emotional nourishment.

Intuitively, when I connected with the energy of this lunation I felt an activation in my throat chakra, while my inner eye was flooded with the color blue, as I felt the theme of truth illuminated.

Even if our current truth feels more confused than clear, this is truth worth honoring. With this Capricorn full Moon helping us to let go of older beliefs, no longer feeling true within us, we may actually be questing “what is currently true for me?”. And if we are feeling this way, this Moon tells us to trust the truth of our own confusion, for it inspires us to ask the curious questions that help us connect with our authentic truths. Often confusion is a necessary step toward the clarity we seek.

Trust your truth right here and now, even if your truth is currently confusion. Trust it will take you where you need to go.

amplify our voices

The day before the Capricorn Full Moon (so on 7.20.24), Mars, the planet of action, aggression and assertion, moves into Gemini, the sign of communication, logic and dual thinking.

While in Gemini, Mars focuses our energy on learning, communicating, making new connections and even some debate and/or confrontation.

Due to Mars’ fiery and aggressive nature, and with division and polarity at an all time high leading up to the presidential elections here in the United States, our personal conversations and communications may also get hot and confrontational if we’re not conscious of our energy. Yet if we are conscious, we can use the passion and motivation that Mar’s brings to our communications and connections while in Gemini, for constructive vs. destructive purposes.

We do this by focusing in on how we are using the power of our voice to focus on what we want to create, to solve and to experience. We follow our curiosities and make time for meaningful connections, and we stay aware of when we’re using our magnificent voices for aligning with solutions vs. fixating on the problems.

On the day after this second Capricorn full Moon, the Sun enters Leo, the fixed fire sign of the Zodiac, starting Leo season. With the Sun in Leo we feel even more called to shine and share our voices. Leo season brings in much needed playfulness, courage and authentic expression.

With the Capricorn Full Moon helping us to both illuminate and trust out truth, we can enter Leo season ready to express this truth with our hearts full of belief and dedication.

May this Capricorn Full Moon illuminate any falsities keeping you from what you now know to be true for you, and help you embrace your worthy, complex wholeness.

with infinite love and appreciation,

Rachael

Both the Sun and the Moon are standing in aneretic degrees (the last degrees in the sign), marking this full Moon as some sort of culmination in regards to things of Capricorn + Cancer energies.

There are A LOT of tight transits happening during this full Moon. They are all less than 1 degree of being exact at the same time of the full Moon.

To start us off, we have the Sun trine to Neptune and the Moon sextile to Neptune. These are both harmonious transits that can bring creativity, spirituality and maybe a bit of necessary confusion, illusion + escapism. Confusion isn’t always a bad thing. Sometimes it’s necessary for us to further investigate, creating a stronger stance or important change of mind.

We have Mercury square to Uranus, which is a tense conversation bringing unpredictability + disruption to our thinking patterns, communications and travel. We also have Venus sextile to Jupiter, which is a supportive, social and generous connection. One disruptive conversation could lead to something more optimistic in an unexpected way.

Lastly, we have Mars sextile Neptune AND Mars trine to Pluto. Both supportive transits, this shows that we will have the opportunity to put our energy and action towards our creativity, spirituality, and making important transformations.

All of this combined and we have the opportunity to take big strides towards in our personal growth journeys. Use your community to help you out!
